SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is dedicated to veterans, serving personnel and their families. It understands that behind every uniform is a person, and SSAFA is there for that person and their family, any time they need to make sure they never battle alone.
How SSAFA Helped Over 50,000 People Across the UK in 2025
Nationally in 2025, SSAFA’s trained teams of volunteers and employees helped more than 50,000 people in the Armed Forces community. In Somerset alone, it supported 99 people last year through the dedication of volunteer caseworkers who provide personalised support in their local area.
